Garnier Pure Active Exfo-Brusher Wash

Hello you gorgeous little peaches!
Today's post is about another little nifty beauty product I picked up while I was shopping in Tesco!

Basically, I got this product before my birthday -which was July. I picked it up because I was hoping to get my No7 Beautiful Skin Cleanser (which you can read a review on here) for my birthday, so until then I wanted something that could do a similar job for my skin.

Garnier Ultimate Body Oil Review

I was watching YouTube videos and reading up on blogs about the effects of Argan oil, and how it can be good to put on your face.
So... very intrigued, I went to my local supermarket - Tesco, and had a search for some Argan oil. About ten minutes after staring at the shelves I finally found what I was looking for!
I was excited to get home and take my makeup off so I could use this new oil that everybody was raving about!

Simple Spotless Skin Rapid Action Review

I was happily walking around Tesco in the skincare section just to see what was new, and what caught my eye. I was starting to break out more than normal so I had to take action fast!
That's when I spotted this little beauty.

If you're not aware of the 'simple' range it's made with no perfume, no colours and designed for sensitive skin to use them.

I've tried things from this brand before and I liked the product, so thought I was give this spot zapper a try over the rest of the brands.

Date Night For Mammy and Daddy

Hello again!

The other week me and Gavin got a well deserved night off from mammy and daddy duties, and decided it was right to have a little night out.

So, the plan was to go out for tea, and then go to the cinema.
Let me tell ya, one of the best night nights I've in a long time (as lame as that might be!)
We started off at Akbars, which was absolutely amazing, then worked our way to Cineworld to watch Thor. Can I just say... if you haven't seen this film yet, please go! It's amazing, not only for Chris Hemsworth, but just for the actual film!

Halloween!

*cough cough* (dusting off the cobwebs)

Hello all you lovelies!
Now it has literally been months hasn't it?! I'm finally in my own house, all settled, and after a very long five weeks to wait for Internet.... it has finally arrived!
Yay, I can finally start blogging again, and using my Twitter and Instagram more (which I am totally obsessed with by the way).

This is just a quick post today just to get back into the swing of things now that I'm back at work, and college with a baby. Busy bee right? Haha.

I love watching all of the Guru's on YouTube make their amazing Halloween makeup, and usually I just sit and admire and think I am never as good as they are to do my makeup like that!
But this year I was going to a Halloween party, so dressing up is a must! After a long consideration I decided to go with Nicole Guerriero's sugar skull, because I thought its not too bad with the gore and looked fairly simply to do!

After buying some extra makeup and sitting in front of the mirror for about 45 minutes, I was finally done! I will say that it wasn't completely how i would have liked it - my face wasn't as white, and I had to use a white eyeshadow to make my face look paler which was riddled with glitter which, no surprise, didn't really make my skin look its best!
But overall I was really proud at the face I could actually do my makeup and although it wasn't amazing I felt good about it!
And this was the finished result!

(Please ignore the none brushed I'm dead and going with it hair!)
You can watch the Sugar Skull tutorial by Nicole here.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

Tropic Face Smooth Polish

Hi everyone!
First few weeks of college - done! Hurraaaaay!
Todays post is a review on Tropic's Face Smooth Bright Exfoliator.
Let me begin by explaining who Tropic are and what they want to achieve!
All of their products are cruelty free, natural, and 100% pure plant extract, and literally all of her products could be eaten (although it's really not recommended!), and every single ingredient is listed on the bottle/tub.

LIFE UPDATE!

Hello again!
So as you may or may not know, I've just very recently started college, let me tell ya, right now, it's just not as hard as what I thought it was going to be! I have a few bits of work to do throughout the week but it's daft little things like making a day to day timetable, or a leaflet! I just can't wait to get into the whole science part of the course! Roll on four more weeks when the that will be starting!!
Another thing that has happened in my life I hear you ask? I got a house! Yes, finally... my own house! Okay, okay, so it's only a rented a house but in my eyes it's better than nothing, right? It will mean we can finally be a little family together and Maisie can have her own big room because it's a 3 bedroom house! I'm so excited to actually get into the house and get everything decorated the way I've always wanted my house to be!
Cant't say I'll miss my family because I really will miss everything they do, but at least they are only a few minutes down the road!
As for Maisie - she is crawling all over the place now! She started crawling nearly two week ago now but she was very wobbly. Now? There's literally no stopping her! Every two minutes I will be up and down because she's crawled out the room or she has gone to the tv! I'm loving every minute of her growing up though, I just wish it would all slow down! She was only a baby for a few months before she started to get big :( haha!

So that it just a very short update on my life, and with house moving and decorated I hope you all don't mind that for a few weeks or so my blog posts may be all the place and not on a set day!!

Thank you all for reading my blog!

Going To College With A Baby

Hello everyone!

So yep, you guessed it. I'm going to back to college!
I actually passed college when I was 18 with my A-Levels, and I originally wanted to work in a travel agents after working in Spain for a few months. However, the weird thing is - unless you have worked in a travel agents before, it's very difficult to even get a job interview, never mind a job!

My current job is working for Next, where I've been for nearly two years. But let me tell you, after having a baby it sure does put things into perspective about what you need to do with your own life so you can give the best for your baby!

So this is where going back to college comes into it...
I'm going to do a Health course which will hopefully get me to my childhood dream of working for the NHS as a Physiotherapist!
I'm so excited!
(Image from Google.)

Thankfully the college I am going to has offered me a night course which is only two nights a week for three and a half hours a night. My boyfriend has also got onto the course but he is doing the day course, which is three days a week for six hours a day! Killer!
So because Gavin is going back to college his work hours had to be completely changed, but he never works later than 5.30 at night, which means he has the two nights off that I go to college to mind Maisie!
This is just so much easier than what we were first planning which was for all our family to share Maisie until I could get home to her, but this has worked out so much better!

I'm very excited to start college again, but then again I'm also scared that in the end it might be too much when I have to go back to work at Next, but at least for now I have another two months off, so no complaints just yet! Haha!

Are you going to college/university?
What are you studying!?

Thank you for reading my blog!

Stylight and Everyday Makeup!

Hello to all my lovely followers!
Let's start off by saying sorry for me not posting for roughly 4 weeks now, to start with I was feeling ill, and then I just went into a little slump for no apparent reason and wanted to not really do anything, so so sorry. But I am back now, and ready to blog away!!

So what's this post about?
I have recently been loving the Stylight website and app and I wanted to share it with you all!
It is sort of along the lines of pinterest, except in Stylight you can put items of clothing together to make an outfit and then you can actually buy clothes!
Sounds like heaven, right?!

The only things you need to do to sign up is enter your e-mail address, password, gender and age!
Then, just start putting your outfits together!

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush

Hello all you gorgeous girls!

Some of you who follow my blog may be aware that it was my birthday a mere two weeks ago, and one of the main presents that was on my list was the Clarisonic.
I know a lot of people rave about this product and how much better it is for the skin because it deep cleans right into those nasty pores, nice! But I really couldn't justify my parents paying £100 for a brush to clean my face, I mean, what if it wasn't for me?!
That's when all my research came in handy as I heard a few people saying that this product was a perfect dupe for people who live in the UK!
What am I talking about you wonder?
No7's Beautiful Skin Cleansing Brush, which you can also see in my birthday haul here!

Mark Hill Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner

Hello beauties!!
I was given this little shampoo and conditioner set, I think for my birthday last year, and it has literally just been sitting in my shelves full of beauty goodies since then! (whoooops!)
The thing is, I'm a girl who doesn't really like to change my shampoo and conditioner to one that I've never used before because I've had bad experiences where i would have bad build up for days and nothing would get rid of it. Lets be honest, who wants to go through that?!

So once I used up what I was using at the time, I thought why not give it a go? It might work wonders!

Liebster Blog Awards

Hey guys!
I have very recently been nominated for the Liebster Award by Melissa of Shadow and Polish (link to her blog is here), and honestly I'm so grateful to be nominated! Just to know that someone out there has actually clicked on my blog and liked it enough to nominate me is amazing!

So what is the Liebster Award?
The award is given to up and coming blogs, with only one condition - the blog must have less than 200 followers!
After doing a bit of research I found out that word 'liebster' is german, and translated it means words such as kindest, dearest, nicest and pleasant.

Birthday Haul!

Sunday seen the day of my 20th birthday, yippeee!
Yep, a Sunday, not the best of days, especially since Gavin was at work 9-5, but it was just as good as any other!

I'm in no way bragging about or show off anything I have got for my birthday, I just simply wanted to post it as I personally like looking at what other people got for their birthdays, and always as a little reminder for me too!

I also just want to start off by saying I'm so sorry for the photos not being the best I've ever taken, but it was late at night when I decided I wanted to blog it all!

This picture is an overview of the presents off my parents, boyfriend and my baby girl.

MuLONDON White Chocolate Elbow, Knee & Heel Cream

Hello again!
Let me just start by apologising for me being a little M.I.A recently, I've not been feeling my ultimate best lately, and not the mention the sun isn't making me the happiest.. (you did read that right, I'm not a fan of the british summer when it comes to the sunshine, take me to a beach in Spain, and it's a completely different story...i'll never leave!)

Onto the actual post then haha!

How Much Is My Face Worth?

Hi lovelies!
While the baby is asleep, I will blog away!

I've seen a few of these posts from the people I follow on Bloglovin' and I found it so interesting to know what they we were wearing on their face and the total amount of money it cost to put their face together!
I have seen one post which showed the total of her face to be over £500 and I was so shocked! It really makes you realise how much you actually spend on makeup just to make your self feel better!

Anyway, straight into the post, and today this is my face....

Empties... #1

Hello there lovelies!

You've more than likely guessed from the title, but just in case you haven't, this is my first empties post!

Over the past month I have tried to keep my empty bottles aside to do a post on what I have used up. Now, I say 'tried' because honestly, it was really hard to not throw out my empty bottles! I did have a lot more empties, but... I threw them away, and then about four hours later, I realised I was supposed to keep the bottle! So I'm sorry I've only got a few, but maybe that's a good thing for you if you don't want to see loads of my trash haha!

w7 Camouflage Kit

This is a concealer palette for pretty much any skin tone!
The best thing is that if one single colour doesn't match you perfectly you can mix all the colours!
The second shade in is absolutely perfect for me, and I feel that when I tan a little (when the sun decides to make a re-appearance), I'm free to use any other colour to mix it with, rather than having to go out and buy a new tube or pot of concealer for more money.

My MAC Collection

I just wanted to start this post off by saying that in no way am I bragging about the products that I own from MAC.
I just simply really enjoy looking at what MAC products other people own and I thought that maybe you all would like to see as well!
I don't really own that many in my opinion. But to some of you, you may think I own a lot, or you may think I don't compared to some peoples collections!

So anyway, this is basically an over look at all of the MAC products I own right now.

(I have a couple more products on the way, which are Hibiscus Kiss and RiRi Boy)

Phil Smith Total Treatment Argan Oil

I can't lie...
This product was a freebie from one month of the Cosmo magazines, but that isn't the reason why I picked it up at all.
Normally, I tend to stay away from hair products that I'm not used to because I've had bad experiences before where products have left a build up on my hair, and it has looked very very nasty (and disgustingly greasy!).

Baby Talk!

Oh My Gosh!
Time has just literally flew by! I can't believe that my little girl is three months old already! It feels like little Maisie has never been away, I don't know what I used to do before her!!
There's so many little things she's doing now which I'm happy about but deep down, I'm also a little bit sad because I just want her to stay a little baby!
She's been rolling onto her side since she was just over one month old but now she's doing it all the time, she has a full on baby conversation with me which is just the cutest thing, and oh my gosh, my heart just melts on a morning and she wakes up, we go over to her cot and she always greets us with such a massive smile!!

She is just the best and cutest baby I could ever ask for!

Hopefully I will be blogging more baby posts but let me know what you think in the comments, would you like to read them about what Maisie is doing and her milestones?

Thanks for reading everyone!

FOTD Featuring w7 and Mini Reviews

Hi all you lovelies!

I wanted to try out the make up brand w7 because they offer affordable makeup, which they say is high end quality. Best of both worlds, right?!
I have to admit though, I did buy a lot of their make up when I was little but mainly because I didn't really use make up and obviously I only had my pocket money!
I really wanted to do this makeup look because not everyone can afford to buy high end makeup, but sometimes the more affordable make up is just as good as the pricey stuff...

So this is everyday face I put together using only w7 makeup products.
And if you want to find out what products I used then keep reading!

Review: Balmi

I have heard so many good things about the brand EOS and their amazing lip products and their unique shape, however with me living in the UK this product is nearly non existent unless you look on either Amazon or Ebay.
In America the prices of these lip balms are fairly cheap but when you look to buy it over the pond it is always around the £9 mark for just one!

Now, there is no way I am going to pay £9 for a lip balm, no matter how good it is!
So I started to look at our UK alternatives we have, and I found one brand that I fell in love with... balmi.

Just a quick post today lovelies to tell about a great bargain!

Now, I have just found out about this great deal and I wanted to share it with all of you nail varnish lovers!

Review: RiRi Woo

I'm going to start this post by being completely honest. Are you ready for this?..

This is the very first red lipstick I have ever bought, and yeah you did read that right and I know I should get a slap on the back of the hand because every girl should have at least one red lipstick in their make-up collection. But no, not me!

Having A Baby At 19: My Story

I know this post won't be for everyone; but I wanted to share my pregnancy story and everything I have been through, so if you are interested then just keep reading!

I found out I was pregnant when I was 18, it was a massive shock to me because I was the one who wanted to go out every weekend with my friends and have a good time and just dance, but to my boyfriend it was even bigger shock. We hadn't really been together that long, we were only in a relationship for about 8 months but I have known him for such a long time.
At first I didn't know what to expect. I kept it a secret for about two months, not because I was ashamed but because I was so scared at the thought of becoming a parent.

After I had told my family and closest friends, I still kept it a secret until I had my first scan. The midwife had said I was 10 weeks pregnant, but when I when to the scan they actually told me I was nearly 17 weeks! I couldn't believe that the tiny little baby on the ultrasound screen was mine, and the baby was just so perfect to me that I couldn't wait to meet her!
I told my work the day after I had my scan. I was so worried because I was on an apprenticeship and was only earning £2.60 an hour, so I was worrying about money and also because I hadn't been there that long that I didn't know how everyone would react. But after the news spread around work everyone was so happy for me that I couldn't believe I even worried at all.

At my 22 week scan we then found out we were having a girl, I was so excited and so was my boyfriend, so we decided to start  and pick out names. We loved the name Maisie, so we decided to stick with that!

I was in and out of hospital for probably the last 7 weeks of my pregnancy, just because things didn't seem right, and some weird things were starting to happen and they had to keep testing me to see if my waters had broke, which wasn't very pleasant at all!
Then before I knew it my due date was here, and it had just come so quickly that I couldn't believe that some girls moan and say it lasts forever because it only felt like 5 minutes! Then of course, your due date goes past and you feel fed up because you should of had your baby by now, but no. There were no signs at all, and she wanted to just stay nice and comfy, which was making me more uncomfortable.

On Friday 1st March (5 days after my due date) I started to go into slow labour  at first it was just slight twinging pains, but by Sunday night I couldn't take the pain and was waking up every hour with a contraction, but of course they wont close enough together. By Monday I was completely fed up, I couldn't keep food or water down and was constantly pacing up and down the bedroom. I wasn't able to sit or lie down because it was too uncomfortable. So by 1.30am on Tuesday morning I had had enough and rang the hospital to come in because I was in so much pain, hadn't eaten and hadn't slept.
I was gas and air as soon as I walked into the maternity ward, and by 3am they gave me Pethidine which would roughly work for 4 hours just so I could go to sleep and for no other reason because I was only 2cm dilated.
When 7 rolled around so quickly the midwife had come in and told me she was going to break my waters, which is when things started to go wrong for me. The baby had done a poo which was dangerous for her, so they started me off on a drip to induce my labour so things would come along quicker, and shortly after this I had an epidural fitted into my back, which honestly wasn't too painful but was very uncomfortable but after this I had no pain what so ever, which I was thankful for.
Because I had been induced, had an epidural and because baby had Meconium I was classed as high risk and the midwife had to stay with me at all times and had to do observations on me and baby every half an hour.
By 9pm on Tuesday I had only reached 8cm. Three doctors came into the room and explained to me that I might a C-Section as things were progressing and because baby was in an awkward position. They gave me the option of either waiting for an hour or going straight to operating theatre.
At the time my mind was all over the place and I just started crying because the thought of having an operation to have a baby is so scary, and because I had never had to have an operation before. I told them I would prefer to wait an hour to see if things started to happen, which they were happy about because they wanted me to have a natural delivery because I was young.
By 10pm when they checked me again I was exactly the same, so I said to the doctors that I want a C-Section but at this point they refused to take me into theatre and wanted to make me wait another 45 minutes. Needless to say that I wasn't getting anywhere so after 45 minutes of waiting they wheeled me into the operating theatre while my boyfriend got his scrubs on to come in with me.
Gavin had to wait outside the room while they topped up my epidural so I couldn't feel anything to just above the bottom of my ribcage and then he was called in.

As soon as they turned on the operating lights I started to panic but held it together as I didn't want the surgery to last longer that what it was going to as it takes roughly about 2 hours. The whole experience of having a C-Section was horrible, it is the worst feeling I could describe. It's not painful at all while your getting it done but you can hear everything they are doing, and you can feel it all, so although I could not feel the pain of them starting the surgery, I could still feel it. I remember saying to my mam about a week after the surgery is that the only way I could describe is it that it feels like your being torn about by wolves from the stomach with all the tugging and pulling and stretching, it is just the worst feeling ever.
Baby Maisie was born at 11.26pm and weighed 7 pounds 10, she was so healthy and I couldn't believe how long she was! Most babies have an average of being born at 50cm long, but (not so) little Maisie was 56cm!
After the surgery had been complete and everything was finished at about 1am they wheeled me into the recovery room which I cannot remember in the slightest.
I was shaking so badly and my eyes were all over the place I didn't have a clue what was happening to me. All I remember is seeing my mam next to me holding Maisie with my boyfriend stood next to her and then them suddenly being asked to leave the room.
This is when I knew that something was wrong, but I didn't know what exactly.
The doctors had explained to me that after having a baby the uterus is meant to keep contracting as if it were still in labour, but mine had given up because I was in labour for such a long time. I started to bleed really heavily to point where they couldn't control it and I had about 11 staff around me all trying to help. They had injected me 3 times in the thigh to try and get my uterus contracting and they told me that if they injections did not work then I would have to be taken back to theatre to have a hysterectomy, which of course at 19 is probably the scariest thing you can be told. Thankfully though by 4am the injections had started to work, but by this point I had lost 3 pints of blood and then needed a blood transfusion.
I finally got wheeled back into my room at 5am where I seen my boyfriend and mam again, but I was so exhausted from the C-Section and everything that had happened in the recovery room that I fell straight asleep.
It wasn't until Wednesday at about 1pm that the midwifes actually handed me my baby and this was the first time I properly held her and had a good look at her.
There were a lot of visitors and I only stayed one extra night and asked to leave Thursday morning because I just wanted to be home. I could hardly walk as my stomach was in so much pain every time I moved, but I was just happy that my baby was healthy and we could finally bring her home.

Although a lot of people say that having a baby young is a bad thing, I would say it's not. After everything I have been through in my birthing story, I still wouldn't change any of it.
I am so happy that I am a young parent, I have more time to look after her and I wouldn't change any of it at all.
It's the best decision I have made, and there's nothing to regret because I can now say that I have a family to come home to.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog, it means so much!

Review: ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzer

After watching a lot of YouTube Guru's for the past year like FleurDeForce and Nicole Guerriero I realised the art of contouring and the benefits it can give to your face.
They were all using products like Benefit's Hoola, or Nars Laguna. After realising that these products were a little bit too expensive for me to start with just in case I couldn't get the nack of perfecting it and I ended up with a giant brown line going across my face, I decided to look for a cheaper alternative.

Review: Glossybox March 2013

I know I'm probably the last person to jump on the bandwagon, but after long consideration about joining either Birchbox, Glossybox or Ipsy, I finally decided to go with Glossybox.
I went with the 3 month subscription package rather than just 1 month because I thought with just one box if I didn't like it then I knew it would be the end of that and I wouldn't want to buy anymore, so I thought that 3 months was probably a bit more fair (and because I'm too much of a beauty lover to just go with 1 month!), so lets get to the point!

My march Glossybox included the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, L'occitane En Provence Brightening Hand Care SPF 15, Renu Flash Relax Mask, Jason Natural Care Normalising Shampoo, and Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush.

Hey everyone!
So, as you can see by the title, this is my first post on my first blog! Hopefully I'll be able to get the hang of this soon and start posting some good stuff on  here!
Anyway, more to the point... this blog will be including beauty, hauls, reviews and I might even be flinging in a post now and again about being a young parent seeing as though I've just become a mummy!
I think that's enough for boring introductions for now, see you in the next post,
