The Truth

Hello guys,
I've been thinking about writing a post for a long long time, but to be completely honest I haven't wanted to.
And this post is just going to be completely honest about the way I am feeling and have been feeling for a while now.

I started this blog after just having my little girl. I started it because I loved makeup, I just loved the way it made me feel, I love the way I could create different looks with minimal effort but still look amazing!
I felt that creating this blog was hard work but it was so worth it. I tried my best to make me blog look nice and easy to read - but I wanted to do everything myself so it was all my hard work into this and nobody else.

MAC Makeover

Hi lovelies!!

I was lucky enough to receive a MAC voucher where I could get my makeup done by one of the girls and then I got £30 to spend included in the voucher!!

I went into MAC at Metro Centre as that's the closest one to me, and let me say, every single one of those girls working on the counter that day were lovely!

Getting my makeup done took about 30 minutes she spent so much time making sure everything was the way I wanted it and asking me how I would normally do certain things so she didn't do my makeup "wrong" to me.
I asked for a night time look, so the lovely makeup artist spent a lot of time making a smokey eye and using colours that would help to make my eyes "pop". I was so happy with the outcome of everything she had done and for the rest of the day I felt amazing! It really is crazy how makeup can make you feel about yourself!

Living In A Hospital

Hi guys,

So these few weeks I feel as if I have been living in a hospital.
I started to have bad leg pain but it seemed to get worse day by day. I went to the doctors and got told it could be shingles and I should keep an eye out for a rash. About a week later it was at the point where I couldn't walk so I went into hospital and had a few tests for a blood clot. They were unable to see if I had or hadn't got a blood clot so they gave a blood thinning injection and was told to come back in the next day for an ultrasound of my leg, which as it turned out I didn't have a blood clot.

So then what happened? I hear you all ask...

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Hi guys,

I recently got the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara for my birthday after hearing so many good things about it!
First off, I love the packaging of this product. It's in a really sturdy metal tube with a light pink colour and the mascara name embossed onto the tube. You can tell by looking at it that it isn't the cheapest of the cheap but I think with this product you definitely get what you pay for it.

Slim Fast + Diet Update

Hi guys,

You may or not remember that roughly a year ago I done a blog post all about my Slim Fast experience. Well, since it's a year later I thought I would update you guys on where I am now and how Slim Fast worked for me later on down the line.

First off when I started Slim Fast I loved it, I was losing about 4 pounds per week and clothes were fitting me so much better in such a short period of time. However, I cannot stick to diets to save my life! So when it came to a couple of weeks of doing Slim Fast shakes and I started to feel happy about the way my body was looking, I started to ease off the shakes and start to eat normally again. At first, the weight stayed off for a good three to four months, which was amazing because everyone always said to me it wouldn't work.

New Laptop, Hooray!

Hi guys,

So it's probably been around a year or maybe more since I really signed back into my blog. I'm really surprised to see that people have still been finding my pages and having a little look around my little blog!

Anyway, today I have been out and bought a brand new laptop which means that I can actually use a laptop to do the things I want, yay! My old laptop was good for what I needed it for but because it was a few years old it would literally take about 20 minutes to open up the internet and it never worked on YouTube. So now, I will actually be able to do a blog post without it taking about four hours! I can't wait!

So hopefully I will get back into the swing of the things pretty soon and be able to do the things that I used to love!

The New Year!

2015 is fast approaching us!
I know that everyone is saying this, but seriously, how quick has this year gone?!
I don't know if it's the fact that a one year child takes up so much time in your day that the year just goes so quickly, or if it just really has flew by?

Our Christmas was amazing again this year.
Everything was so much better and exciting now that Maisie really understands Christmas, who everyone is and who brings the presents!
She had a wonderful day spent by opening hundreds of presents!!

Long Time No Blog

Can we just stop a minute to blow the dust off this little old blog?
Yeah, it's been a while. A long while!

Within the past year life had definitely caught up with me.
The struggle of having my own house, work, college and let's not forget to most challenging but most rewarding without a doubt - being a parent.

Now, I can't lie and say I have the toughest life, or I don't have enough time, because honestly, that's just not true in the slightest.
My life was at the point where after a day of being a mammy, then going to work and college and being home late at night the last thing I wanted to do was sit write, photograph and edit posts on my blog. Honestly, I just wanted a cup of tea and my bed.

The time I did spend on my blog was amazing. Reading comments, interacting with other bloggers and just simply enjoying watching my blog grow.

Now that my life has seemed to calm down a little bit (I say this as I work two jobs, have a one year old daughter and it's Christmas time - which means a lot of sale prep at work!) I hope to be able to blog more often.
I'm definitely not saying I will be blogging religiously with four blog post a week. But I will try my best to keep everything consistent!

IMATS London 2014

Hey everyone!

I've been wanting to go to IMATS for about three years now, but this year thanks to my mam I got to go!
It was part of my birthday present for July, but obviously IMATS is a three day only event.

I got up at 5am to get ready for the 7.30 train to London on Saturday, and let me tell you, I don't think I have ever been so excited!

We finally arrived at Olympia at about 11, where getting ID'd was literally giving me heart palpitations!

Inside the venue I have never ever seen anything like it! All the hustle and bustle of everyone going to different makeup stalls and looking at all the new and discounted makeup, watching people get made in beautiful creatures and demons, makeup master classes and demonstrations. Everything was just amazing.

So Happy That's Over!

Long time no speak!

Safe to say that college is now over and I'm totally finished the course!
YIPPEEEE
That is unless I get an email from my tutor to say that something is missing, and then it's a race against time to get that piece of work in!
Fingers crossed, that wont be happening!

College took up so much of my free time.
I found myself at almost every Maisie's nap time, either cleaning the house or catching up on college work, and the same for most nights.
Other nights that I had free were either spent at college in a class, or ironing or very little me down time, which was very needed.

I am honestly so so happy to say I have now finished, and with all this spare time now during Maisie's nap time, I find myself wondering what I can do!
I have defiantly missed this time, and hopefully I will be able to catch up with all the blog posts I have been missing.

I want to get back into the blogging world and I have missed reading everyone's blogs, so hopefully I will get back into the swing of things really soon.

Thank you for understanding!

Slim Fast: Does It Really Work?

Hi everyone!
This post is a little bit different to what I normally blog about, but i wanted to get my views across about this "quick fix" weight loss diet.

After the birth of my daughter 14 months ago, I have struggled be happy with my body. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with what my body went through to create my beautiful girl, but what I'm left with after has always made me miss my body from before.
I've gone up a dress size, both top and bottoms and I'm really not happy about it. My stomach used to be flat and is now rounder, and the scales which told me the honest truth were a little bit too truthful than what I would have liked!

I've always wondered about Slim Fast and if it really works or if it's just a fad.
I heard one of my friends say she was on the Slim Fast diet and lost a lot of weight and really recommended it. So after searching the internet I found the whole range was half price in Boots. I thought to myself, why the heck not just try it while it's half price.
I picked up four tubs of shakes from Boots and a shaker as they say it shakes everything together a lot better.

Shall We Get Up To Date?

Hello again, do you remember me?
Probably not...

I'm so so sorry I've been gone for about five months or so now.
I've still been reading blogs and watching YouTube videos but when it comes to sitting down and actually writing my own blog, I don't know what's happened.

So let me just begin by saying, I'm back at work! I went back in November but where I can I'm trying to get overtime - lets face it, working nine hours per week just doesn't cut it when you have a baby and a house to run...
So that's stress number one.

I'm still doing to Access to Health course, I only have about 8 weeks left or so, but my gosh does the work start building up! I'm onto my last big project at the minute and its definitely a pain!
Stress number two.

And baby (i can still call her that, right?), is fourteen months. So that means I never stop! If she's not trying to get somewhere she shouldn't be she's running into another room where she can't be seen! She keeps my days busy but very very entertained!!
So with that said, the only real me time I get is either Maisie's nap time, or when she's gone to bed, and by then I can never really be bothered to anything other than just sitting and either reading a book or just watching TV!

So I just wanted to say again that I'm so sorry and hopefully I will be able to get back into blogging soon, especially with my course finishing soon!

Thank you xxx

Baby's First Christmas!

So as your may (or may not know), I have a little baby girl!
I say baby, she's nearly one now, and I still haven't come to terms with this. I honestly think that if I think about it too much, I might cry! Sad I know :(

With it being Maisie's first christmas I didn't want to spoil her too much, because at 9 months old, there's no way she will remember christmas! We bought her about 7 toys and a few outfits, but then of course, off both families she got spoilt.

We woke her up a little earlier than normal because of on christmas day she was a busy little girl visiting all her family and eating her first christmas dinner, and of course opening all those presents takes a toll on a little girl and she has to have some naps!!

Below are just some pictures of Maisie opening her very first presents that santa left for at mammy and daddy's house.
Enjoy!
'Keep Calm I'm Santas Favourite Baby'

What are these mammy?

Are they for me?!

I'll open this one first!

Getting there!

Ooooo this is a nice book!

Thank you santa for my book!

Mrs Claus Christmas Outfit!

Thank you for reading my pretty late blog post, but I wanted to document Maisie's first big event!

Garnier Pure Active Exfo-Brusher Wash

Hello you gorgeous little peaches!
Today's post is about another little nifty beauty product I picked up while I was shopping in Tesco!

Basically, I got this product before my birthday -which was July. I picked it up because I was hoping to get my No7 Beautiful Skin Cleanser (which you can read a review on here) for my birthday, so until then I wanted something that could do a similar job for my skin.

Garnier Ultimate Body Oil Review

I was watching YouTube videos and reading up on blogs about the effects of Argan oil, and how it can be good to put on your face.
So... very intrigued, I went to my local supermarket - Tesco, and had a search for some Argan oil. About ten minutes after staring at the shelves I finally found what I was looking for!
I was excited to get home and take my makeup off so I could use this new oil that everybody was raving about!

Simple Spotless Skin Rapid Action Review

I was happily walking around Tesco in the skincare section just to see what was new, and what caught my eye. I was starting to break out more than normal so I had to take action fast!
That's when I spotted this little beauty.

If you're not aware of the 'simple' range it's made with no perfume, no colours and designed for sensitive skin to use them.

I've tried things from this brand before and I liked the product, so thought I was give this spot zapper a try over the rest of the brands.

Date Night For Mammy and Daddy

Hello again!

The other week me and Gavin got a well deserved night off from mammy and daddy duties, and decided it was right to have a little night out.

So, the plan was to go out for tea, and then go to the cinema.
Let me tell ya, one of the best night nights I've in a long time (as lame as that might be!)
We started off at Akbars, which was absolutely amazing, then worked our way to Cineworld to watch Thor. Can I just say... if you haven't seen this film yet, please go! It's amazing, not only for Chris Hemsworth, but just for the actual film!

Halloween!

*cough cough* (dusting off the cobwebs)

Hello all you lovelies!
Now it has literally been months hasn't it?! I'm finally in my own house, all settled, and after a very long five weeks to wait for Internet.... it has finally arrived!
Yay, I can finally start blogging again, and using my Twitter and Instagram more (which I am totally obsessed with by the way).

This is just a quick post today just to get back into the swing of things now that I'm back at work, and college with a baby. Busy bee right? Haha.

I love watching all of the Guru's on YouTube make their amazing Halloween makeup, and usually I just sit and admire and think I am never as good as they are to do my makeup like that!
But this year I was going to a Halloween party, so dressing up is a must! After a long consideration I decided to go with Nicole Guerriero's sugar skull, because I thought its not too bad with the gore and looked fairly simply to do!

After buying some extra makeup and sitting in front of the mirror for about 45 minutes, I was finally done! I will say that it wasn't completely how i would have liked it - my face wasn't as white, and I had to use a white eyeshadow to make my face look paler which was riddled with glitter which, no surprise, didn't really make my skin look its best!
But overall I was really proud at the face I could actually do my makeup and although it wasn't amazing I felt good about it!
And this was the finished result!

(Please ignore the none brushed I'm dead and going with it hair!)
You can watch the Sugar Skull tutorial by Nicole here.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog!

Tropic Face Smooth Polish

Hi everyone!
First few weeks of college - done! Hurraaaaay!
Todays post is a review on Tropic's Face Smooth Bright Exfoliator.
Let me begin by explaining who Tropic are and what they want to achieve!
All of their products are cruelty free, natural, and 100% pure plant extract, and literally all of her products could be eaten (although it's really not recommended!), and every single ingredient is listed on the bottle/tub.

LIFE UPDATE!

Hello again!
So as you may or may not know, I've just very recently started college, let me tell ya, right now, it's just not as hard as what I thought it was going to be! I have a few bits of work to do throughout the week but it's daft little things like making a day to day timetable, or a leaflet! I just can't wait to get into the whole science part of the course! Roll on four more weeks when the that will be starting!!
Another thing that has happened in my life I hear you ask? I got a house! Yes, finally... my own house! Okay, okay, so it's only a rented a house but in my eyes it's better than nothing, right? It will mean we can finally be a little family together and Maisie can have her own big room because it's a 3 bedroom house! I'm so excited to actually get into the house and get everything decorated the way I've always wanted my house to be!
Cant't say I'll miss my family because I really will miss everything they do, but at least they are only a few minutes down the road!
As for Maisie - she is crawling all over the place now! She started crawling nearly two week ago now but she was very wobbly. Now? There's literally no stopping her! Every two minutes I will be up and down because she's crawled out the room or she has gone to the tv! I'm loving every minute of her growing up though, I just wish it would all slow down! She was only a baby for a few months before she started to get big :( haha!

So that it just a very short update on my life, and with house moving and decorated I hope you all don't mind that for a few weeks or so my blog posts may be all the place and not on a set day!!

Thank you all for reading my blog!
